Ivey and Brian : Wichita Wedding
May 10, 2012
Ivey’s family has been a part of Patrick’s life way longer than I have. When Patrick was younger his family lived in one side of a duplex and Ivey’s family lived in the other…they have great stories from those days…putting up with Patrick and his trumpet practicing.
Ivey and Brian had a beautiful evening wedding and reception at the Scottish Rite a few months back. It was actually a renewal of their vows with all of their friends and family since they were married before Brian’s deployment. We were so happy to be a part of such a wonderful day. Ivey and Brian, we wish you all the best!
Julie and Tray : Engagement

Please ignore the fact that the last post says “Merry Christmas”. Really? I am soooo far behind in blogging shoots but hopefully I can make a dent in the un-posted picture folders soon. Here is a little peek at an engagement shoot with Julie and Tray.

Merry Christmas!

I love the Christmas season. I remember how wonderful it was when I was little, but it is even better being an adult and seeing how magical it is for our girls. Here are some pictures from our tree lighting a few weeks ago. I was so happy to find out that their striped night gowns still fit from last year! Well, sort of. Lael’s is more of a shirt now.
Hope you and your loved ones have a wonderful holiday season!
Reese: 1 year old

I am months behind in posting, but hopefully it is better late than never. Here is one from a few months ago.
It was only a year ago that Miss Reese looked like this at her newborn shoot. She is now one year old and walking everywhere! Such a beautiful little girl!

Audrey and Wes: Married
September 15, 2011
It was so hard to pick my favorite images from this wonderful wedding. It was such a lovely day. They were both were so easy going and had constant smiles the whole day. They chose to see each other beforehand which was so great. We always recommend seeing each other beforehand for a “first look” session. It is nice to have a bit of time to take a deep breath and take it all in, just the two of you. The first look is most likely the only time you will have alone on your wedding day..and you come out with some pretty great pictures too. Audrey and Wes, you are two of the nicest people and we had such a blast at your wedding.
Things I love
September 2, 2011
I love the pictures on our wall. This was a super awkward space for 3 years at our house. It was a big blank white wall in the middle of the room. It is the first thing you see when you walk in our house. Furniture even seemed weird there. I had planned on framing all the prints that I have and hanging them there…but I wanted to be able to change and rearrange often. I found inspiration online and decided that shelves were the way to go. My dad and husband put these up and I think they were just the thing it needed. They probably look a bit cluttered but we have embraced “cluttered” at the Wetta house.
Two of the wall’s highlights (in my opinion) are the silhouettes I made of the girls. They are really simple black cut-outs matted and framed but it is amazing how much they really look like our kids. All the little details about their features are highlighted–like Lael’s small chin and Sylvies distinct concave nose curve. We have decided to make new ones annually if not more often. I can see them all framed in a row at a graduation party some day.
